and love. There is a middle ground, the ground of tolerance, patience, forbearance, and forgiveness. We grow angry when we are harmed, or think we are. We might still be irritated but will not lose ourselves to anger as long as we can tolerate the irritation, be patient with the harm, forbear from reacting, and even forgive the injury. So the positive resolve is to cultivate tolerance and patience.

Keeping the mind wounded by anger,

I will never experience peace.

I will have no joy or happiness,

Will lose my sleep, writhing with frustration.

When one has been injured by something or someone, the anger one feels is a second injury from within; it is another wound in itself Your mind cannot rest as anger stirs within you to revenge yourself on the injurer. Things that ordinarily cause you pleasure, even joy, the face of your beloved, good food, enchanting entertainment, sensual delight, all of them immediately lose their appeal the minute you become angry. When really angry, you cannot even fall asleep, your mind goes over the injury again and again, and plots how to retaliate in kind or worse.
